Our Purpose

To help others by providing high quality occupational therapy services, information and evidence based care.

To connect to each individual client and create meaningful and holistic intervention plans.

To contribute to a shift in mainstream healthcare practices towards a more holistic, preventative and self informed care.

We are mobile, community based therapists, working with adults and carers in their homes.

Drawing on many years experience, practicing in acute, subacute and community based healthcare settings, both here in Australia and in the UK, we aim to provide the highest quality, holistic, evidence-based occupational therapy services you need.

Practice Administration Manager

Meet Kelly. Our dedicated Practice Administrator, and the face behind the voice you’re most likely to speak with first via phone or email to get started.

Kelly coordinates our Intake process and ensures client appointments, accounts and all our clinical compliance & professional obligations are kept up to date to ensure our services run smoothly.

She has professional background in both corporate and retail settings and is a super Mum to 3 young boys. Kelly has a compassionate “bedside manner’ and always tries to accommodate the needs of all our client’s and carers from day one.

Crystal Goodwin Senior OT
(Gippsland)

Crystal is our Gippsland Gem. She comes with a genuine wealth of professional skill and knowledge base. She has over 15 years of experience as an OT, in both acute and community settings, as well as hand therapy and private practice.

Crystal is the devoted Mother of 3 and treasures both her work and home life – leading to “better balance” and ensuring our regional clients are in excellent (healthy and happy) hands.

Sharon Jones
Senior OT (Metro)/Director

Sharon started Better Balance in 2014 in the hope to help more people find their own ‘balance’, through connecting with each individual client in a more meaningful, holistic and consistent way.

Sharon provides the highest quality, evidence based and client-centred occupational therapy services by drawing on nearly 20 years of OT experience practicing many clinical settings including acute hospitals, subacute and community rehabilitation programs, specialist outreach teams and community care for aging adults, both here in Australia as well as in the UK.

Alistair Jackson OT
(Metro)

Alistair, our new part time OT, has over a decade of experience in corporate health services, supporting injured workers stay in their work roles or return to work, post workplace injuries.

Prior to that, he too spent time in London, providing community OT services like ours, as well as working as part of a multidisciplinary medical team for the Ministry of Defence (UK) in their lower limbs rehab unit, assisting military personnel with acute and chronic injuries during their short-term inpatient stay.

Alistair joined Better Balance OT in early 2023, driven by his passion to support our community of aged people maintain their quality of life.

Beth Finlay
Senior OT (Geelong and Bellarine Peninsula)

Beth is a senior OT who has a wide range of experience supporting adults with neurological conditions, physical disabilities, and cognitive impairment.

After working for a renowned private hospital rehabilitation program, in inpatients, outpatients, and community settings for over ten years, Beth moved with her young family to Ocean Grove in 2019 and transitioned into private practice and community care (as well as barbecues, baking and running in the beach air of course).
